The sweetness of a ripe banana, the subtle tartness of juicy cherries, and the aroma of cocoa create an ideal flavor balance, topped with grated dark chocolate for a rich chocolate finish. Cook's notes
If using very juicy cherries, pat them dry with a paper towel. Do not overbake the dessert: the center should remain slightly moist — that is exactly how a brownie texture should be. After cooling completely or spending a few hours in the refrigerator, the flavor becomes even richer. For a beautiful presentation, sprinkle with cocoa or garnish with a few fresh cherries before serving.
